Just a .jpg right now.

I don't know how to code modern skins, so if someone wants to work with me on this it would be a huge amount of rock and roll.

This would fit better in Designs And Interfaces since it's not a complete, working skin. It looks neat though. Would the stripes act as a vis?

AH! that's genius! i wish i thought i up.

signatures suck my ass...
:iconrougewisp:
I figured I'd get more interest if it was under Winamp Skins. Kind of cheating, I guess.

The stripes at the bottom would basically be a vis, yeah. I updated the image with a less cluttered version.

I'm not completely familiar with MAKI etc etc but I figure something like making the actual skin area larger than it appears and having the excess be binary transparency?
:iconskryingbreath:
No need to be binary transparent. Winamp can handle 24 bit PNG images (Alpha blending) so you can pretty much do anything you want in terms of visual presentation.

Alpha seems excessive though, since I only need binary.
:iconskryingbreath:
Well if you decide to go binary all of the diagonal lines will be jagged, same with you cbuts. It's not that much work to use alpha blending and it doesn't even affect the processor at all. Binary is so....1992.

Great concept.

I have no idea about skinning modern winamp skins but if I did I'd be onto this like a shot.
:iconrougewisp:
It's not anti-aliased at all, though. 45 degree angle, straight lines, etc, etc. Regardless, if I don't have a coder it can't do much in terms of playing the musics.

Anyways.

How are the kids?
:iconskryingbreath:
Pretty good, Jimmy is chronically wetting the bed and Fiona won't stop hitting herself with various powertools.
